Joined IBM 1978 left 1985 started one of Australia’s first multimedia businesses that began Internet application development in the mid nineties. Has continued to be a major innovator and supporter of innovation and the start up economy working to accelerate entrepreneurial experience to help make Australia a Centre for Entrepreneurship.

Strong skills in attracting and managing highly creative design teams with a real drive for innovation. Participated in the 1995 Williamson Community Leadership Programme.

Spent 23 years leading Decision Engineers, Applied Learning, Acumen, Acumentum and other small business interests now helping entrepreneurial companies grow and prosper!

First became a member of Australian Institute of Company Directors in the mid nineties rejoined in 2002 and successfully completing the Company Directors Course in 2011. (A great course – impressive scope and depth of knowledge.) In June 2012 Russell appointed a Fellow of the AICD.
