ANDS, Nectar and RDS are pleased to announce Rowland Mosbergen has joined their team as the new Manager of Community Platforms.
Rowland is already well known to many in the research data sector including through his current work as Project Manager for the Stemformatics Virtual Lab. Rowland will divide his time between that role and his new position with ANDS, Nectar and RDS.
The focus of Community Platforms Manager role will be to work with the new data enhanced virtual laboratories projects with a focus on developing and running training programs, working with communities of practice and developing online skills programs.
Rowland will be working across all three organisations as part of their partnership, based in Melbourne.
Welcoming Rowland to the ANDS, Nectar and RDS team, Michelle Barker (Deputy Director, Research Software Infrastructure at Nectar) said:
“I’m delighted Rowland is joining us. He will play a central role in building communities around research data and research infrastructure.”
Karen Visser (Program Leader, Skills, Resources & Policy at ANDS) added:
“Rowland brings a wealth of experience and already knows a lot of people in our sector. He’s a great addition to the ANDS, Nectar and RDS partnership.”
Rowland started his new role this week.
